My name is Hannah and I’m the artist and here at Calvary Hill Studio. Ever since I was a little girl creating art was my favorite thing to do. My favorite memories involve sitting around the kitchen table with tubs of crayons and markers, the possibilities felt endless. My excitement for art stayed close to my heart and I chose to study Studio Art in college. I fell in love with creating even more through the courses I took and continued to create art over the years since then. Now, almost 8 years later I am fanning into flame the call on my heart and launching Calvary Hill Studio. 

My work is a culmination of years of painting, praying, pondering and meditating on the love of Christ - an endless pursuit of wonder. My goal with my art is simply this, in the words of Mother Angelica, “tell everybody that Jesus loves YOU”. My art isn’t simply a passion or career, but most importantly a mission to introduce others to the love that Christ is always reaching His hand out to give us. 

My work embodies the life, light, joy and hope of the resurrection I receive from a life following Christ. I look at the words of my good friend in Heaven, St. Therese, to remind myself of my calling to be an artist in the world, “I am the little brush, which Jesus shall use”.  I hope that my work will strike you in some way and help you to ponder all that Heaven longs for you to have. St. Paul says, “What eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, and what has not entered the human heart, what God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Cor. 2:9). As an artist, it’s inspiring to fathom life beyond this world and to remember that a place is prepared for us in Heaven far better than anything we can imagine. I’m looking forward to what the Holy Spirit will inspire me to create in the future, and I hope you are too.
